Posted by cy on Jan-27-2006

Today already Zi Poik (28), now 3.30pm while I still in the office. Many people going back today, including Kanneneh, he already on leave today, but he say he will go back at 5pm, chee bye… I tell him 5pm go back sure jam one, he said nvm cos he likes traffic jam.

I was thinking how to spend my time for Chinese New Year, think think think, I dun wan think already, cos I know every year the same one.

Last two days when I go to dinner, I see many ppl queueing buy bak kua. Especially that Mei Zhen Siang one, a lot of people. I dun buy bak kua, but I like it, but I also scared eat liao sorethroat, u know lar my throat very sensitive one.

:P~
10.15pm already ppl still queueing up

:P~
The crowd at 9.30pm

I din buy bak kua ler, I bought 1 box fireworks instead, 138 shots one, my friend told me if play fireworks/firecrackers and tiok liak will kena fine RM10k or jail 5 months. Hmm.. how about… “Encik.. kasi senang ckit boleh ah?”… Malaysia Boleh maa.. :)

I am going to watch Huo Yan Jia 霍元甲 (Jet Li movie) tonite in Midvalley.

Flamingo Saloon

Posted by cy on Jan-25-2006

As Kanneneh told me he cut his lan mo already, I think it’s the time for me to cut hair liao.. since Chinese New Year coming very soon.

I remember last time when I small, my mom always ask me to cut hair two weeks before CNY, cos when approaching CNY, the barber shop will raise their price. from RM4 to RM7.. So.. actually when during CNY (the third week), the hair long already…

This year I cut my hair 1 week before CNY, last Sunday (22 Jan 2006) I went to this Flamingo saloon house in OUG, my friend introduce one.

@@

Honestly tell you, last time I always go back my hometown cut hair before chinese new year, the most expensive one also RM10 only, but this year I working already, where got time to go back cut hair. So have to settle it in KL before go back.

@@

I was thinking to let the leng lui cut or let the boss cut, if let the boss cut, male head is RM48 cut and wash. If leng lui cut, cheaper lah.

@@

After 1 hour, I decided to let the boss cut, cos the leng lui cut hair very slow, chee bye I waiting there for almost 40 minutes liao she still working on the same head.

@@

The whole saloon is in a mess actually, not spacey at all.. maybe cos business too good before the coming Chinese New year.

@@

I browsing through the magazine.. see which style better. All look like very fashion and japanese style.. but I cannot find any lan mo style here…

@@

This is the boss who cut my hair, called “Black”, chinese guy but dark skin. A lot of pattern and action when he cut hair, walking also like dancing.

But kiang kan.. their seat for wash hair isn’t nice, suppose to be laying down when washing hair, but their seat is like sitting wash hair, and there’s no neck and shoulder massage as well.

A bit surprise, he took only 7 mins to cut my hair, 5 minutes wash (leng lui wash), and 3 minutes dry and set my hair. Before he start, he look at my hair for a min, then start cutting. He cut sibeh fast, finish until I dunno he finish, and he just tell me “ok, hor yi sai tao jor”. Maybe I am too used to let the aunty cut liao, 1 hour hair cut, short and neat, RM8.

Okay so he took 15 mins total to earn my RM48, sibeh ho tang.

He said my hair too thick, must do some highlight then only look better. I say no need la.. next time next time (if got next time la har), then he cut “undercut” style for me.

@@@@

This is the before and after leh… I won’t say it is cheap because the environment is not good, lack of service, no cool cool lighting and design, no astro, no PC for you to online, the leng lui’s fingernail is too long, no massage. But luckily, I am satisfy with the hair cut.

Male short hair RM48, female long hair RM60+ (Ah Black will cut for you) cut & wash @ Flamingo, OUG, KL. No, here no cut lan mo one.

EDIT: Will I go to this saloon again? Yes :)

Malaysia Boleh

Posted by cy on Jan-24-2006

An American, a Japanese, and a Malaysian were sitting naked in the sauna.

Suddenly there was a beeping sound. The American pressed his forearm and the beeping stopped. The others looked at him questioningly.

“That’s my pager,” he said, “I have a microchip under the skin of my arm.”

A few minutes later a phone rang. The Japanese lifted his palm to his ear. When he finished he explained, “That’s my mobile phone. I have a microchip in my hand.

The Malaysian felt low-tech and inferior. He didn’t know what to do to be as impressive as the American & the Japanese. He decided to take a break in the toilet.

When he returned, he didn’t realize that there was a piece of toilet paper got stuck and hanging from his ass. The others raised their eyebrows and said, “Wow! What’s that?” Instead of being embarrassed, inspiration struck his mind.

The Malaysian explained, “I’m getting a FAX.”

I’ve been keep drinking Ho Yan Hor recently, Ho Yan Hor is a type of liang teh (Herbal Tea), anyway maybe my body too hot, I drink liao also not much feeling… but if dun drink, I think lagi hot.

I took alot of expensive antibiotic for my throat already, that’s why I dun wan to see doctor for flu and cough (no fever), dun wan eat medicine too much lar, bo ho, so I now try to take some chinese medicine, but also medicine… kns.

@@

The Ho Yan Hor is a bit bitter, but taste better if you put a asam boi into it. The tea bag can be used for 2, 3 times.

Ang ang underwear for CNY!

Posted by cy on Jan-18-2006

Chinese New Year coming soon, I am waiting for CNY very long already, need some good rest at home, sleep and ciak juang lou (steamboat). Been sick for weeks already… now still got flu and cough, east medicine west medicine oso tried all already..

Sunday morning 15 Jan 2006 I went to OUG eat dim sum, normal dim sum only actually. And when we pass by the pasar pagi (morning market) before the dim sum shop, I see a lot of stalls selling foods and clothes, mostly female clothes, but too bad cos you cannot test there, dun have fitting room for you one, but still very good business, cos if you wear liao boi ngam, you can take back to change one.

And I come across to this stall which is selling female underwear.. and.. whole stall like red red one, attracted my attention.

^^

I actually see this type of panty before on the Internet, never see in real. This time I really see it, so after that I went to buy Toto (but I checked yesterday, no kena).

^^

^^
Doeramon brings you hock ki

^^
This tiger can protect you

^^
This one wear liao must go genting, no worry the CCTV in casino cannot see this one

^^
Wear liao must go buy 3D, 4D Toto, Magnum, Damacai

The boss who selling this female underwear is a male, he told me this type of panty cannot sell much in OUG, but better business if sell in Damansara that area. I think maybe OUG ppls more rich, so they dun need this type of panty to help them ‘boost’ hahaha.

I ask him for guys one got or not… knn… he said he only selling gals underwear :(

苏州面家 SuZhou Noodle House

Posted by cy on Jan-17-2006

The next day, Saturday 14 Jan 2006, I went to OUG parkson to buy something, just to walk walk actually, cos very bored if stay at home. And then me and my friend decided to eat in Citrus Park, a new eating places. Citrus Park is located beside Old Klang Road, sharing same building with Parkson (at the junction turn into OUG).

Citrus park got many restaurant such as Japanese restaurant, Vietnam restaurant, Wong Kok, Secret Recipe, Nandos, Gei Tak Sek etc. But since we’re not very hungry so we decided to go get some noodle. And there’s a noodle restaurant called “苏州面家 / SuZhou Noodle House” at the first floor of Citrus Park.

:P~

There’s a menu hanging outside the restaurant to let you decide before going into the restaurant.

:P~

Paiseh I forgot to take photos inside the shop, the environment is not bad but only a bit too small.

I ordered Pork Chop Noodle, while my friend ordered a SuZhou Friend Noodle. And the taukesoh also from SuZhou one cos SuZhou business no good nobody want to eat so come Malaysia open, talk to us in China mandarin.

:P~
The menu, simple one

:P~

The noodle that I ordered, Noodle Pork Chop, 蛋汁猪排面 RM7.50, the noodle soup is so-so but the pork chop is nice, too bad I can’t (I won’t too) eat the skin..

:P~
Pork chop close-up

:P~

This one SuZhou Style Fried Noodle, 苏式炒面 very nice flavoured, nice (but a bit oily), RM8.00

Don’t forget we also ordered two drinks 红枣银耳汤 (english dunno call wad) and 芒果blended (Mango Blended), both also nice.

CY Verdict
Noodle Porkchop: 3/5
Fried Noodle: 4/5
Value: 3/5
